Our holiday cottage offers self catering accommodation and is located in the quaint & peaceful town of Stanford, just 20 kilometers from Hermanus. It dates back to 1896 when the town was in its infancy, and has been lovingly restored and refurbished in keeping with its 19th century character. Situated five hundred meters from the local river which it is ideal for kayaking and there are also mountain views and bird trails in the nearby nature reserve. Waterskiing and boating is allowed on the river but permits will need to be arranged from Stanford Info. Stanford is the ideal getaway for town and city folk who want time away from the hustle and bustle of daily life in these beautiful, peaceful surroundings. It is a mere 15 kms from whale watching sites, and is close to protected beaches. Accommodation facilities include a pool table, bar area, table tennis table and study area.
